Science has shown the brain processes images faster than language. But a simple photograph sometimes isn’t enough to convey the connections we want consumers to make. That’s when the need for graphic design comes into play.
The challenge … Recently, a Vox Pop client’s product was picked up for distribution by the automotive retail company, JEGS. We wanted to share this with our thousands of social media followers, but a run-of-the-mill post with a generic image wasn’t going to have the impact we were looking for.
The solution … The retailers’ logos were placed side by side, in both ads, to help cement consumers’ connection between the brands. JEGS’s target audience are auto enthusiasts, while Preval’s spray products are used by both auto professionals and DIY’ers. Thus, a car — and Preval’s pro/consumer spray products — were featured in both social media ads. Simple text, highlighted by a brightly colored banner, in each ad, were used to further drive the point.
